So you want to hear more? Good.

Below is more about my husband, our company, and I, but here before I begin; I would like to encourage you if you have an interest in working with metals, stone, or glass to go ahead and go for it. You will probably have as much fun and gratification as we have. Now for more about us.

Ask my husband sometime for the story of how we ended up getting all 600+ lbs of rocks into a tiny "Le Car" and then all the way from Denver CO to Des Moines IA, for now lets just say "we were in our 20's and nothing is impossible at that age!"

Later in life, my husband knew my love of "pretty stones" and would surprise me ever so often with a new loose gemstone. One day in July of 2000, my husband asked me what I was planning to do with my growing collection and I told him I had hopes of a uniquely designed bracelet made by him (how hard could it be anyway).

We started buying every book we could find on various subjects from beading to metalsmithing and beyond. We were very lucky to find some find classes given by some very friendly people with lots of knowledge to share. When we sold our house in Iowa and moved to Texas we decided to start making and selling jewelry so we set up our own jewelry workshop in the garage.
When we moved to Houston, we found the HGMS - Houston Gem and Mineral Society. This wonderful group has many talented people, who just like my grandfather, love to share their knowledge to anyone willing to learn and listen.
